Wildlife Wood Update!

What a wonderful way to end the term! The Wildlife Wood at Beech Hyde Primary School & Nursery is complete, and it looks fabulous. It boasts a beautiful pond (with the first frog!), a fire pit, lovely plants, den building areas, bowers, a bridge, a bird/ squirrel watching hide and their very own felt owl! We are so grateful to Steve, the Beech Hyde designer and landscaper, the BHA, who project managed, and to the whole community for helping to raise the money for it!

Special thanks to the Wheathampstead Community Group and the Harpenden Lions Club for their donations. The children have started to explore and we had a wonderful official opening on Friday 3rd July. Thank you to Mike from Wheathampstead Community Group for untying the ribbon!
