Friday 2 October 2026 Well Done Alex! Alex from Garden Fields JMI School took on a fantastic challenge, walking over 5 miles through Wendover Woods to raise money for Parkinson's UK! 🚶✨Alex and his sister were determined to complete the challenge in 1 hour and 30 minutes as a way of saying thank you to all who supported them. So far they have done brilliantly and raised over £500!!Well done to Alex and his family! It is always so wonderful to see students from our individual schools participate in such incredible challenges for charity 🥳

It was an unforgettable, high-energy day that left all the children and staff members feeling deeply inspired.

Friday 3 July 2026 Wildlife Wood Update! What a wonderful way to end the term! The Wildlife Wood at Beech Hyde Primary School & Nursery is complete, and it looks fabulous. It boasts a beautiful pond (with the first frog!), a fire pit, lovely plants, den building areas, bowers, a bridge, a bird/ squirrel watching hide and their very own felt owl! We are so grateful to Steve, the Beech Hyde designer and landscaper, the BHA, who project managed, and to the whole community for helping to raise the money for it!

Friday 22 May 2026 Gold Duke of Edinburgh Awards at Buckingham Palace What a term for DofE at Sandringham! Almost 30 students headed to Buckingham Palace in May to celebrate achieving their Gold Duke of Edinburgh' s Award - one of the most prestigious accolades a young person can earn. We couldn't be prouder of each and every one of them!

Friday 1 May 2026 Ridgeway Run 2026! Ridgeway Academy are proud to announce their first-ever 5K charity run, that took place on Friday 1 May 2026 bringing together students, staff, families, and the wider community to raise vital funds for Teenage Cancer Trust. The inaugural event marked an exciting milestone for the school. Student and staff participants of all abilities joined the run, which followed a route around the local area, starting and finishing on the school grounds. Staff and students raised in excess of £7,000 and all proceeds from the event will go directly to Teenage Cancer Trust, a charity dedicated to improving the lives of young people facing cancer by providing specialist care and support during treatment and recovery.

Friday 17 April 2026 Help Change Lives Initiative Comes to Successful End at STAGS STAGS year long initiative has now come to a close and we are proud to announce that STAGS have helped 1092 girls in Kenya access reusable pad kits as well as supported in educating 2314 girls and boys around the importance of female hygiene. We are thankful to all those that were able to contribute towards this important cause. Help Change Lives and the students impacted in Kenya are immensely grateful for our donations as this has truly made a difference for them. Thank you so much to Miss Haria who has spearheaded this campaign, promoted the amazing cause and kept us updated of its progress.

Friday 27 March 2026 Verulam Partner with charity Youth Talk Verulam is excited to announce a new partnership with the Centre for Inequalities at the University of Greenwich and the Youth Talk charity. Together we will be working on a new piece of research supported by The British Academy to explore the barriers for boys and young men in accessing counselling - and, most importantly, understand what might actually help break these barriers down.

Wednesday 18 March 2026 AET Pupil Conference 2026! March 18 was a wonderful day where we brought together 150 pupils from across the Trust for our annual Pupil Conference - a truly inspiring, pupil-led event designed and presented by pupils from Year 1 up to Year 12.The day was a fantastic opportunity for pupils to meet, chat, collaborate, and build friendships across schools and age groups, creating a real sense of community. This year's theme, “Together we grow, learning as we go,” focused on mental health and wellbeing. Pupils led a range of thoughtful and creative activities - from LEGO building and poster design to creating seed bombs and planting flowers, all centred around exploring what supports happiness and positive mental health.A huge thank you must go to our incredible pupil planning team with representatives from all year groups for their creativity, leadership, and hard work in bringing the day to life, and also thanks to St Albans Girls' School and their sports leaders for hosting the event so

Friday 6 March 2026 Inspiring Women at STAGS! Careers Week at STAGS always ends on a high note with our Inspiring Women's Networking Event which took place on Friday 6 March, where Women from a range of employment sectors and career pathways, gave up their valuable time to network with Year 12 students over breakfast, providing them with priceless advice about how to develop critical skills for the future. Year 8 students from both STAGS and Adeyfield were then able to interview our guests to find out about their career journeys, allowing them to explore the myriad of different work journeys of our inspiring women and gain critical insight into the huge range of pathways that are taken in employment.

Friday 27 February 2026 Skyswood become Herts County Champions! Our school football team were thrilled to become Herts County 7-a-side champions for small schools following an exciting final (against Miss Branagan's school from Welwyn).

Tuesday 24 February 2026 Well Done Olivia We are proud to share this amazing story about St Albans Girls' School student Olivia.With growing concerns around young people's mental health, Olivia believes that all school staff should be equipped with the training and knowledge to recognise early warning signs and respond appropriately, ensuring timely support for all students who need it.The petition, which can be found here , needs 10 000 signatures to receive a Government response, and 100 000 to be considered for a full parliamentary debate. Signing an official government petition takes only two minutes and could make a real difference to every child in every school in England.
